We came to Chiusdino in 1986 from Switzerland and Germany. An old Tuscan farmer, Pio (with his bald head!), was living and working on half of the farm. Pio told us a lot about the past of the land and people who lived here. He showed u show to care for the olive trees, to prume the vines, how to plant the onions. For some years we tried to make the farm work producine our own sheep cheese, olive oil, red wine, vegetables, grain, bread and wood. Then, in 1996, we had the opportunità to buy the other half of the farm from Pio.

Since then we have renovated some of the farm buildings as holiday apartments which we now rent.
